Seating, Positioning, & Mobility
Alternative seating is used to provide varying amounts of support and/or movement to help a student engage in school activities as fully and independently as possible. Seating throughout the day should be dynamic (a range of postures), task-dependent, and individualized. Seating can also be utilized as treatment by OTs and PTs for increased muscle activation and improved postural control.
