Another amazing Harvest Fest in the books! Last Saturday, October 28th Sunrise Lake hosted their 7th Annual Harvest Fest. Absolutely one of the best events of the year, open to all of NSSEO and our extended family. Team Sunrise was supported by 22 volunteers, without whom this day would not have been possible. THANK YOU! for being here and creating a positive, welcoming, joyful event.
We had 168 participants who carved 70 pumpkins, ate 154 hotdogs and several pounds of candy (Thanks John and NSSEO Foundation), crushed two bushels of apples and 10 pints of strawberries, launched 25 gourds, eat 160 ears of corn, topped off with 6 gallons on apple cider.
In addition to the above and the beautiful fall weather, participants enjoyed face painting, making popcorn, roasting pumpkin seeds, a halloween scavenger-hunt hike, music with Dave, picking gourds in the garden, our witches cauldron, and a leaf pile.
So fun to see our families enjoying harvest time!
Winter Wonderland is February 10th, we hope to see you all there!
