Shining a Light on Volunteerism

Volunteerism

At the January NSSEO Governing Board Meeting, students were recognized for their volunteerism in the community. Volunteerism is a hands-on way to connect with a community to enrich the lives of others. Our students have very special skills to share, and these attributes come across when our students are given the chance to contribute. Volunteerism presents a meaningful way for our students to get into our local communities for others to see all that we value. For some students, continued volunteerism may be a central part of their post-school plan. Continued effort on ways to promote volunteer opportunities will help our students build their repertoire of life and career interests and entrench them in places where they are needed for their valued contributions.
