The NSSEO Board meeting scheduled for December 4, 2024, will commence at 6:15 pm with a closed session. The regular session will follow immediately at 7:00 pm.
The NSSEO Governing Board Shining Star for June 2018 recognizes the partnership that was developed this year in District 21 at Riley School. This was the first year that the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (D/HH) elementary program was housed at Riley and team-teaching was initiated between a general education teacher, Paris Abel, District 21 Teacher and Damien Charo, NSSEO D/HH Teacher. The school community has benefited greatly from having the opportunity to learn ways to bridge the connection between the deaf and hearing worlds. As a result of learning and growing in this environment, Soha and her peers now have the ability to communicate directly with each other. This has opened up opportunities for new experiences, social connections and friendships.
