Heartbeat of the Week – Sophie Niemaszyk
“Sophie Niemaszyk, a classroom aide and long-term substitute at Kirk Campus, goes above and beyond for her students and constantly has a positive attitude. She has quickly built rapport with her students and has excelled during an ever challenging time for teaching. In one instance, she worked collaboratively with the Sunrise staff to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for her students to incubate and hatch baby chicks in her classroom. In addition to being a long-term substitute teacher (during a pandemic, no less), Sophie is pursuing a masters in Social Work to further her personal goals. In addition, she has stepped up to provide respite services with a former student’s family in critical need of support at home. You’re a true team player and we wish you the best with your internship this spring!”
