“The audiologists have been working very hard to inform and provide solutions to our districts in this ever-changing environment. They have been so dedicated to researching safety precautions and remote learning needs for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. With information and best practices changing so rapidly as we learn more about this pandemic, the audiologists have been invaluable in our ability to meet the needs of our students and inform and educate our districts. Without them, we would truly be flying blind and be unable to understand and implement the critical accommodations that are needed to support the specific needs of our students. In a challenging year, the audiologists have remained collaborative, student-focused, and supportive to everyone they work with. They have established partnerships with clinical and statewide organizations to ensure NSSEO is proactive and engaging in the best practices to meet students’ needs. They have been an invaluable support to NSSEO.”
